I don’t ever want to write out of sheer obligation.
I worry too god damn much.
He doesn’t see how great he is. He looks in the mirror and sees years of mistakes, times in which he should have made a different decision. He regrets his past. He fears his future. He doubts his abilities.
But, all I see is perfection.
It’s the things that which we cannot change that seem to burden our thoughts the most. It’s life’s unfortunate misgivings that taunt and set out to make a person feel inferior to their very own existence. But, moments as simple as an evening spent with friends, drinking far too much, and procuring foolery in every sense of the word can make you forget, even just for the night. We get thrown the deck of cards that we get thrown. We have no control over what feels like fate’s inevitable mockery. All one can do is wipe away the occasional tear, smile at someone you care about and be grateful for what you do have.
